Das Bierhauz is a German restaurant located in both downtown Redwood City and Mountain View. The one in Redwood City is a short three miles from Woodside High School. Das Bierhauz is known for its traditional German food, with its sausages, burgers and pretzels.
When I went to Das Bierhauz, I ordered the Bayern Burger with fries. The Bayern Burger is a grass-fed beef burger on a brioche bun. It comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and pickles. The food came out pretty fast, and it smelled delicious. The burger was stacked nicely, and the fries were golden, crispy, and perfectly salted.
The Bayern Burger tasted way better than I thought it would, especially because I normally don’t like German food, and it was very filling. The meat was cooked well, and the grilled onions added extra flavor. The cheese made the burger better, and the lettuce and tomato made it taste fresh. The bun stayed together well, and it wasn’t messy to eat. The fries were crispy and went well with the burger.
The restaurant has a calm atmosphere, which makes it a great place to eat with your friends and family. The restaurant wasn’t too loud, but it wasn’t boring either. Many people were talking and eating together, creating a welcoming atmosphere. There were TVs playing football, so I didn’t have to miss the 49ers’ game. The workers were very friendly and checked on us, which made the experience more enjoyable.
The only big downside of Das Bierhauz is the price. The Bayern burger with fries that I got cost $17.95, which is pretty expensive for students. It’s not a place I would go to all the time, especially if I’m trying to save money. However, the burger was big and kept me full, so it felt worth it for the price.
Overall, Das Bierhauz is a good restaurant close to Woodside High School. It’s a nice place to go to if you want a good burger and a relaxed place to eat. I would recommend it for a weekend lunch or dinner with friends or family. I would rate my experience a 9/10.
