The Crepe Stop restaurant’s large variety of food, friendly workers and, most of all, late hours have attracted many students, even on school nights.
For students, late night food runs can be very popular, from post-football game In-N-Out runs, to stops at The Melt after a musical. According to Fat Sal’s Deli, going out with friends after a big event can be a way to socialize and end the night on a high note. For some, the newest addition to these nightly food runs is Crepe Stop, a creperie in San Carlos that serves crepes, sandwiches, pancakes, gelato and boba. Senior Sophia Valencia has visited Crepe Stop a couple times with family and her boyfriend.
“I really love it because their strawberry and Nutella crepe is divine, and the ratio is really good,” Valencia said. “I feel like you get a decent price for what you’re getting.”
Mia Cienfuegos, another senior that goes to Crepe Stop regularly, agreed about the quality of food and added that their boba is one of her favorite things to get.
“The workers are really nice,” Cienfuegos said. “I’ve formed friendships with the worker, Armando, and I love him.”
One of the biggest highlights that students expressed is the late night ambiance. The Crepe Stop is open until 12 a.m. every night which can attract many students who may be up late doing homework or want to meet new people. Cienfuegos elaborated on how she and her friends often go there just to study, but it can also be a great place to socialize.
“During nights, it’s more lively, and you see more people you know there, which is kind of fun,” Cienfuegos said.
Senior Elise Sheena, a self proclaimed regular at The Crepe Stop, has tried out every hour and meal offered but still prefers her nighttime visits the most.
“I’ve gone every hour of the day,” Sheena said. “I’ve gone for breakfast, lunch and dinner once, but mostly dinner [because that’s] when they have the pancakes.”
