The Melt is a great place to grab a quick and delicious meal.
The Melt has multiple different locations. The one I went to was in Palo Alto at the Stanford Shopping Center. I always hear great things about the food and how yummy it is so I decided to give it a try.
It was busy, which I wasn’t expecting because it was 6:45 p.m. on a Wednesday, but more people just kept coming in. When you first walk into the Melt, you are greeted with the choice between ordering yourself online or going to the front and getting your order taken. I got my order taken, and the customer service was good. The woman took my order super quickly and was very kind.
I ordered the three cheese classic grilled cheese which costs $7.99 as well as the tomato soup that costs $4.79. There was plenty of seating so I had no problem finding a place to sit, and I only waited for what felt like maybe 10 or 15 minutes for my food to be ready. To me, that is super quick service considering how busy they were.
The food was overall super good, the website even says, “every bite of our crunchy, melty grilled sandwiches and juicy, flavorful cheeseburgers will put a smile on your face and happiness in your heart”. The grilled cheese was definitely as described and not disappointing at all. It was crunchy and hard on the outside, the bread was fluffy, light and very cheesy. The tomato soup was just as I expected it to be, it wasn’t too sweet and was a good temperature to eat.
The food was exactly how it was described, and my overall experience at the Melt was very good. I definitely would recommend that other people should go to the Melt.
