Both varsity and junior varsity (JV) boys water polo teams triumphed against Carlmont last Monday, Oct 7.
The JV team played first at 4 p.m. wining the game 15-5, while the Varsity played next at 5.pm. winning their game 12-9.
“We did pretty good,” Suren Sansone, freshman and JV team member said. “[The match] was around the same that we usually do around that level of a team.”
The teams have been improving over the course of the season, especially the beginners.
“Many new players. such as I, have gotten much, much better,” Sansone said.
There are several players on the JV team that have shown notable improvement and skill throughout the season.
“Riley Allegri, he’s our set. He scored practically all of our goals, around 50 at this point, I’m pretty sure,” Sansone said.
The JV teams exemplary performance in the season has put them on track to become one of the best in the league.
“We just try to get like the highest in the league,” Sansone said. “We’re on track for second in the league, the only team is Menlo Atherton, who is much better than us.”
Both JV and varsity teams are performing exceptionally this season due to their great players and teamwork, according to the players.
“I would like to thank them [teammates] for helping me learn everything that I know about water polo to this point,” Sansone said.
