Girls varsity volleyball slammed their way through their season, ending their league with a record of 13-1 and overall 17-9.
“We’re making [girls volleyball] the best it’s ever been since 2016,” senior and outside hitter Maya Wik said. “We haven’t won league champs [before]. We’ve gone to CCS before but we haven’t been league champs. That’s pretty amazing.”
The team’s next playoff game is this Tuesday at 7 p.m., where they will fight in the CCS quarterfinals.
“We look mean on the court, but I don’t think I’ve ever met nicer people in my life,” Wik said. “And win or lose, I don’t think I would choose any other team.”
As the team advances towards CCS, the spirits are high.
“The amount of love and care I feel on the team between the players is amazing,” Wik said. “We’ve gotten really close and I’m gonna miss them a lot.”
