With two wins and one loss in league games against Hillsdale, Burlingame, Menlo Atherton, and a win in a non-league game against Carlmont, the boy’s varsity water polo season is looking up to be a good one.
Boys varsity water polo is is undefeated this season. They won their first three games against Hillsdale, Burlingame, and Carlmont, but at the Menlo-Atherton game held on September 20, the Wildcats, unfortunately, fell short by two points.
“The [Menlo-Atherton] game was rough for us; we lost a few seniors last year and coming in this year we knew it was going to be a tough matchup,” Senior Mason Moore said. “However, I think we’ll be able to limit our mistakes and pull through next time.”
After the defeat, Woodside continues to advertise and encourage students to cheer on our boy’s and girls’ water polo teams as the season progresses.
“I definitely suggest going to the second game against MA on October 7. It’s going to be a huge game not just because it’s against [Menlo-Atherton], but [also] our rivalry makes the game more fun to watch,” Moore said.
