A sign advocating for the recall of Gavin Newsom and the election of front-runner Larry Elder hangs along Highway 1 just outside of Half Moon Bay, California on Monday, September 6, 2021. Voters will be deciding on September 14 whether Newsom will retain his seat in office in an election that has been heavily politicized.

According to the latest polls from the political poll site FiveThirtyEight, Republican talk show host Larry Elder is the top candidate to replace Newsom - if voters choose to recall him - with 22.6% of the vote, followed by finance Youtuber Kevin Paffrath (Democrat) at 9.6% and Businessman John Cox (Republican) at 5.0%. Campaigning has been mostly subdued for those running in the recall election, but some, like Democratic Candidate Joel Ventresca, are still out there attempting to get their voices heard.

Cedrik von Briel, Managing Editor February 9, 2021
This four-year reality television (TV) show about a supposedly wealthy businessman and complete political outsider who ascends to the highest position this country can bestow was amazingly entertaining and (I’ll admit it) kind of fun to watch at times, but horrifyingly, scary for most of it.

Two kids play on a tree at Rov Cloud Elementary School this past October. It highly likely that youve seen a tree before in your lifetime, but have you REALLY seen a tree? If its good enough for these two then its good enough for you! Coincidentally, this very photo won an award in Novembers Journalism Education Association convention beating out over 20 other participants!

Why You Should Look at Trees

Well, for starters, they’re pretty cool.
